Ectomorphs have fast metabolisms and bodies that tend to turn food into energy easily and quickly. They need to eat high protein and also increase the caloric intake as well. They also benefit from having more fat in their diet.
Mesomorphs, body type easily turn food into muscle. They also require high protein for muscle maintenance. They can eat normal number of calories and burn fat effectively.
Endomorphs, have slower metabolism and greater number of fat cells. They have a strong tendency to turn ingested food into body fat. They have to eat good amount of protein but have to watch the amount of carbs and fats in their diet. Also, endomorphs can have lower function of thyroid output which can also add to the current fat gain issue. They have to work harder to get to keep body lean but proper exercise, and diet can help them lose fat and gain muscle.
